Digital X-Rays

X-Rays are an essential part of any dental care treatment. This allows us to see and diagnose any potential dental or oral health care issues that can't be seen otherwise before they turn into something serious!

There are two main categories that x-rays are divided into: intraoral and extraoral. Intraoral x-rays are taken inside of the mouth and extraoral are taken outside of the mouth. Typically, intraoral are the most common types of x-rays taken in dentistry. This gives a high-quality photo of the detail of the tooth, bone, and supporting tissues of the area.

With the help of x-rays, dentists are able to:

• Find cavities

• Examine the root of the tooth

• Check the area around the tooth to make sure it's healthy

• See the status of tooth development

• Overall, monitor the tooth to ensure it's in good shape
